An elderly Japanese woman didn't realise that an uninvited guest had lived in a bedroom on the second floor of her home for six months. The 'guest' was a young man who kept quiet when he came and went. He wasn't discovered until the woman's son visited and heard unexplainable noises from above. Upon checking the upstairs room, he found the young man asleep on a futon.
Instead of waking him up, the son called the police, who came and arrested the intruder. They were unable to find out much about him, except he had been living in that upstairs room for some time.
